Intakes and headers and rims, oh my!

Although the newest members of the pony club, the Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger, may not have the aftermarket history of the Mustang (mostly because they weren't in production), the general consensus seems to be that there will be no shortage of aftermarket parts available for both cars within the next few years.

Mopar already offers short-throw shifters, cat-back exhausts and cold air intakes and Chris Wilson at MRT (Mustang Racing Technologies) said they've already done some ECU modifications to Challenger owners who want to void their warranty. Though Wilson also points out that the "Mustang is still top dog in that area".

Adam Davis at Chevy called the Camaro "a blank slate" and said the car will be big among tuners.
